House Fire - Be Prepared!

Roughly 14.8 million people are currently unemployed in the United States . . . at least that's what the statistics say.  How many jobs vacancies are there?  Has anyone ever sat down with a calculator to see how many people could be employed vs. unemployed if they'd just get off their asses and work (this does not apply to those who are legitimately unemployed)?
